2005: Ranked third on the team with a career-high 28 catches and fourth with 280 receiving yards. Snagged a career-best seven passes on two occasions - gaining 76 yards against UTEP (10/14) and 62 yards against Southeastern Louisiana (10/1). Had five grabs for 58 yards and a 16-yard touchdown against SMU (9/24). Also had TD receptions in the first game (an 11-yarder vs. Mississippi State, 9/17) and last game (a 23-yarder vs. Southern Miss, 11/26) of the campaign.
2004: Played in all 11 games, entering the starting lineup in the fifth game of the year and remaining there for the final seven contests. Ranked fifth on the team in receptions with 16 for 246 yards. Posted his top game against UAB (10/23) with four catches for a career-best 86 yards, including a 37-yard touchdown snare, his lone TD grab of the year. Also had four receptions for 45 yards against Houston (10/30). Closed the year with three catches for 38 yards in the Louisville game (12/4).
2003: Redshirted the season.
2002: True freshman who started seven games at wide receiver and finished the regular season third on the team in catches despite playing in only 10 contests. Member of the C-USA All-Freshman team. Added to the line-up after Roydell Williams went down with an injury and turned into one of the team's most reliable receivers. Caught 21 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns, including a 54-yard catch and run for a score versus Navy (10/26). Also caught a 13-yard TD pass versus Cincinnati (10/12) to give Tulane a 29-10 halftime lead. Had a six-yard catch and a two-point conversion in the bowl victory over Hawai'i (12/25). Grabbed a season and career-high five passes for 83 yards in the Navy game. Caught four passes for 29 yards and the score against Cincinnati. In first collegiate action at Memphis (9/21), caught two passes for 41 yards, including 23- and 18-yard grabs on back-to-back plays in the fourth quarter. Caught at least one pass in every game he played.
HIGH SCHOOL: Listed as one of the Louisiana Top 45 on the SuperPrep All-Southwest team. Honorable mention choice to the Louisiana 5A All-State team. The Baton Rouge Advocate made him an honorable mention choice on its Super Dozen list. Earned first team all-district honors and was an all-city selection. Three-year starter who caught 49 passes for 873 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior. Rushed for 200 yards and three TDs and was responsible for 66 points. Made the Academic All-State squad as a punter. Led Fair Park to district titles in the 4 x 400 and 4 x 200 relays. Second in the district in the long jump and tops in the 200-meter dash. Coached by Husher Calhoun.
PERSONAL: Full name is Damarcus Jason Davis. Born June 10, 1984. The son of Pamela Sue Jack. Earned salutatorian honors from his high school and was a Regent's Scholar. Majoring in cellular and molecular biology. A member of the Tulane track and field team in 2005.
