Former Tulane standout receiver Casey Robottom returned to the Green Wave football program as a graduate assistant coach for the offense in 2012 and begins his second season on the sidelines in 2013.
A native of LaPlace, La., who starred at St. Charles Catholic High School, Robottom was a four-year letterman from 2006-10 and two-year starter who played in 46 career games with 35 starts. He completed his career with 133 receptions for 1,632 yards (12.3 avg.) and seven touchdowns and ranked among the school's top 10 in receptions and was 11th in yards. Robottom also returned 40 punts and eight kickoffs for a combined 405 yards during his career and concluded his career with 2,052 all-purpose yards.
During his final season, Robottom was an honorable mention All-Conference USA selection after he recorded 56 receptions for 663 yards and four touchdowns and led TU in both receptions and yards and ranked fifth for receptions and ninth for receiving yards per game among C-USA players, despite missing two contests with an injury. His best game of his career came on the road at UTEP in 2010 when he made a career-best 10 receptions for 151 yards and a pair of scores, including a 43-yard, game-winning pass, and was named the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week.
Robottom was a three-year letterman at St. Charles Catholic where he saw time at wide receiver, cornerback, kickoff returner and punt returner for coach Frank Monica. He helped the Comets advance to the state finals as a senior while claiming District 10-3A titles as a sophomore and junior. He completed his prep career with 3,843 all-purpose yards.
Robottom, 25, received his bachelor's degree in marketing from Tulane in 2011 and spent his first year out of college in the private sector.
