Byrd High as a quarterback, running back and safety for coach Mike Suggs...finished prep career No. 3 in Byrd history in scoring and seventh in rushing yards...helped lead the Yellowjackets toa 12-1 overall record and a state semifinalist showing in 2011...as a senior, named Metro Player of the Year by the Shreveport Times and claimed District MVP honors after completing 42-of-72 passes for 802 yards and 10 touchdowns whiel rushing 150 times for 1,316 yards and 26 scores...ran for a career-high 177 yards and a touchdown in opening-round playoff win over West Jeff in 2011...also earned four letters in baseball where he helped the Yellowjackets to four consecutive playoff appearances - including a pair of state semifinalist finishes - and was selected to play in the Perfect Game All-America contest...off the field, was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club and Principal's Honor Roll while serving as president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, vice president of the Key Club and Senior Class President.
