First team all-region player as a safety and named to the second team all-region squad as a wide receiver. Named to the 2005 all-state team at receiver and was an honorable mention choice at quarterback. Earned first team all-county and all-area honors. Was an all-region choice on both offense and defense as a junior. Served as team captain in 2005 and was named team MVP. Three-year starter for the Class 5A school. His senior season, credited with 35 tackles, six interceptions and 10 pass break-ups. Returned three of his INTs for scores. On offense, made 30 catches for 650 yards (21.7 avg.) with 12 receiving TDs. Totalled 1,500 all-purpose yards as a junior after compiling 900 all-purpose yards his sophomore season. Added 40 tackles with eight pass break-ups as a sophomore. Union Grove advanced to the state playoffs his senior and sophomore seasons and posted a 9-3 record in 2005. Also lettered in track and field where he earned team MVP honors the past two seasons. Member of the Student Council who is listed in "Who's Who Among America's Top High School Students." |
