Former Green Wave standout Cyril Brockmeier enters his second season on the Tulane staff as a graduate assistant coach working with the Tulane offense. Brockmeier assists coach Don Mahoney with coaching the Tulane offensive line in addition to a myriad of other duties for the TU offensive coaching staff.

Brockmeier, who returned to the Green Wave after one year as an offensive assistant with Stanford University, lettered for the Green Wave for four years in the mid-nineties. After being recruited to Tulane by current Stanford coach Buddy Teevens, Brockmeier was a four year-starter at right offensive tackle for the Green Wave from 1993-96. He earned Second Team All-Conference USA honors in 1995 and first team all-league recognition in 1996 as a senior. He also lettered in track in the shot put and discus.

A 1997 graduate of Tulane with a bachelor's degree in earth science, Brockmeier coached and taught for two years at Jesuit High School before working in the private sector in Florida for three years in the environmental industry. He is one of eight children.
