2001: Expected to be a key contributor on the defensive line, but injured his knee in the opener against BYU (8/25) and missed the entire season. Had a pair of tackles before the injury.
2000: Came on strong late in the season to play in three games for the Wave, posting six tackles. Had his second career sack and a tackle for a loss of seven yards against Memphis (11/18).
1999: Participated in eight games. Had 17 tackles, including seven unassisted tackles and one for a loss. Tallied a fumble recovery against Syracuse (10/2), a sack against SMU (9/11) and a quarterback hurry vs. Ole Miss (10/9).
1998: Redshirted the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Landry High School in New Orleans, where he played for Coach Tyrone Casby. All-district and academic all-state selection. As a senior, logged 18 sacks, 64 tackles and four fumble recoveries. Also a member of the track team. Member of school's honor society. Ranked in top five in class.
PERSONAL: Percy Branon, Jr. Born July 5, 1980. The son of Percy Sr. and Anna Branon. Majoring in media arts.
