Moving to linebacker after a standout prep career at running back. 2004: Redshirted the season. HIGH SCHOOL: A Dallas Morning News Area Top 100 and Fort Worth Star-Telegram Area Top 75 choice. Earned first team all-district and All-Denton County honors at running back his senior season. Also picked up all-district and second team all-county recognition as a junior. Had three straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons to total 3,879 yards on 709 carries (5.5 yards per rush) with 30 rushing TDs in his career. Also caught 73 passes for 615 yards and three scores. Returned 20 kickoffs for 508 yards (25.4-yard average). As a senior, gained 1,233 yards on 245 carries with 10 TDs, and pulled down 29 catches for 214 yards. Also returned 10 kickoffs for 163 yards. As a junior, rushed for 1,149 yards on 221 carries with 22 receptions for 129 yards. Moved to running back his sophomore year when he rushed for a career-high 1,497 yards on 243 carries (6.2 average) and 18 touchdowns. Holds the school records in the 100 and 200 meter dash.
