2003: Played in all 12 games, including earning a start at linebacker in the final game of the year against East Carolina (11/22). Registered 37 tackles, including 18 solo stops. Had four games with five or more tackles as a true freshman. Posted a career-best eight tackles (two solo) in the Homecoming game against Houston (10/11). Tallied season-bests of four solo tackles against Texas (9/27) and East Carolina (11/22). Also forced a fumble in the East Carolina game.

HIGH SCHOOL: A first team Class 5A All-State player in 2002. Named DeKalb/Rockdale Defensive Player of the Year by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Led DeKalb County with 77 solo tackles and 104 assists for 181 total tackles as a senior. Also had four sacks, 23 tackles for loss and an interception. Played on offense as a tight end, catching 11 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns. In his junior season, recorded 180 tackles (second in the county) with 14 tackles for losses, four fumbles caused and one interception. Also named to the All-County team as a junior.
