The weekly radio program airs on Tuesday evenings from 7:05 to 8:00 p.m. This week's show will discuss Thursday's game against crosstown rival University of New Orleans, as well as the team's activities during the last 10 days of the final exam period at Tulane.
Mike Ditka's is located in downtown New Orleans at The Lafayette Hotel at 600 Saint Charles Avenue, near the intersection of St. Charles and Poydras.
"Hopefully we can get a good crowd of fans to come down to Mike Ditka's," Finney said. "It is a great place with outstanding food and a good sports atmosphere. I am glad to be a part of it."
Finney was hired as the head men's basketball coach at Tulane on July 19 after 15 years as an assistant coach. Most recently, he served as an assistant at the University of Kentucky, helping the Wildcats to the 1998 NCAA National Championship. His teams at Kentucky, Georgia, and Tulsa have qualified for the NCAA Tournament in each of the last seven years.
Tulane currently holds a 5-3 record and a two-game winning streak. The Wave most recently defeated Centenary and Loyola (N.O.). Following the UNO contest, is the Nokia Sugar Bowl Classic on Dec. 28 at the New Orleans Arena, in which the Green Wave hosts Florida, followed by LSU vs. Oregon State.
