NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane men's basketball team returns to action following a 12-day layoff due to final exams on the Tulane campus, at 7 p.m. this Thursday against North Carolina A&T at Fogelman Arena. Tulane Athletics and SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) will teammate to participate in the Marine Corps "Toys for Tots" this holiday season, and fans that bring an unwrapped toy to Thursday's game can purchase a $6 ticket to the game.

The Green Wave (4-4) looks to get back into the win column against the Aggies after dropping back-to-back contests against Western Kentucky (82-67) and at New Orleans (49-39). TU's last victory came against Maine at the USA Basketball Classic in Mobile, Ala., on Nov. 29. TU is 3-1 at home this season and had won its last eight straight decisions at home against non-league opponents before falling to Western Kentucky in its last game on Dec. 6.

Junior Kevin Sims leads the Wave in scoring with 13.3 points per game and assists with 3.75 per outing, while classmate Asim McQueen is the team's top rebounder with 7.0 boards per outing. Senior Robinson Louisme is the team's second-leading scorer with 11.1 points per game and has been very effective in his last four contests, hitting 21 of 37 (57.0) of his field goal attempts, and is averaging 13 points and 7.2 rebounds in his last six games.

North Carolina A&T (5-4, 1-0 MEAC) is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and is located in Greensboro, N.C. The Aggies had won three straight contests before falling to Akron, 78-61, on the road in their last game on Dec. 13. NCAT is 0-4 on the road this season, but did pick up two wins on a neutral court in Las Vegas against Texas-Pan American (67-60) and Coastal Carolina (72-60).

Senior Nicholas Wilson leads the Aggies' attack with 12.6 points per game and is one of four players averaging double figure scoring. Senior Ed Jones is second on the team in scoring with 12.1 points per contest, while junior Tavarus Alston is scoring at an 11.7 clip, and junior Robert Johnson is the team's fourth-leading scorer with 10.8 points per outing. Sophomore Thomas Coleman is the top rebounder with 7.0 boards per game.

The Aggies are averaging just 57 points per game in its four road losses, compared to its 79.4 points per outing in its five wins.

Thursday's game marks the third all-time meeting between Tulane and North Carolina A&T, and the Green Wave leads the series, 2-0. Both games in the series have come in late December on Tulane's home floor in 1997-98 (70-61) and in 2004-05 (73-54).

Tulane has an all-time record of 7-0 against teams from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, including wins over Howard (2-0), North Carolina A&T (2-0), Bethune-Cookman (1-0), Florida A&M (1-0) and Norfolk State (1-0).

Tulane head coach Dave Dickerson will coach the Green Wave in his 100th career game this Thursday when TU hosts North Carolina A&T. Dickerson is the eighth coach in the 97-year history of the school to coach in 100 or more games.

Tulane Athletics and SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) will teammate to participate in the Marine Corps "Toys for Tots" this holiday season. Fans that bring an unwrapped toy to the men's basketball game on Thursday, December 18th vs. North Carolina A&T, can purchase a $6 ticket to the game. Also, fans that bring an unwrapped toy to the Double Tree Classic, hosted by Tulane and women's basketball on Saturday December 20th and/or Sunday December 21st, can purchase a $4 ticket to the games.
