NEW ORLEANS - All Tulane fans are invited to join the Green Wave men's and women's basketball teams in Fogelman Arena on Thursday, Nov. 2 from 4-6:30 p.m. to mark the tip-off of the 2000-01 basketball season.

The Tulane men's team, under the direction of new head coach Shawn Finney, will unveil its fast-breaking, three-point shooting style during an open practice at Fogelman. Finney's team faces its first opponent in an exhibition game on Tuesday, Nov. 7 versus Global Sports.

Tipoff for that contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Fogelman. Tulane opens the regular season at home on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. versus Grambling as part of the preseason WNIT tournament.

Throughout the afternoon, fans will have the opportunity to watch practice, select their season tickets for the upcoming men's and women's seasons, collect autographs from the players and coaches, pick up the 2000-01 schedule poster and enjoy complimentary hot dogs and soda.
