New Orleans - The Tulane Green Wave men's basketball team will have an open try-out for interested TU students on Monday, October 15 at 6 p.m. in Fogelman Arena.

Individuals are required to be a full-time student at Tulane and must sign an insurance waiver and NCAA compliance forms prior to try-outs. Each person is responsible for their own gear, including white-sole shoes, shorts and a t-shirt.

Tulane will open preseason practice on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Fogelman Arena. The Green Wave returns seven letterwinners, including four starters, and features two redshirt players and four newcomers for the upcoming season.

Senior forward David Gomez is TU's top returning scorer and rebounder with 13.5 and 5.9 rebounds per game, respectively while sophomore Kevin Sims is the Wave's top assists leader with 3.4 per outing a year ago.

Head Coach Dave Dickerson returns for his third year after leading the Green Wave to a 17-13 overall record, a 9-7 fourth-place mark in Conference USA play and to the semifinal round of the 2007 Conference USA Tournament.
