New Orleans - WMTI FM 106.1 `The Ticket' will serve as the flagship radio station for the Tulane football and men's basketball games and will also carry the Tulane football and men's and women's basketball radio call-in shows during the 2013-14 season as announced today by Tulane Athletics.
The Tulane baseball and women's basketball games, as well as the Tulane baseball radio call-in show, returns to WRBH 88.3 FM this season. Both programs and the weekly baseball radio show last aired on the station in 2009.
The Tulane Radio Network has also added WSLA AM 1560, which will double the coverage around the New Orleans area and into Slidell, as well as into western Mississippi areas. Tulane fans around the state of Louisiana and bordering states will now be able to tune into each Green Wave game through its seven 2013 radio affiliates, which is among the most among Conference USA schools and blankets the majority of the state.
"We are happy to announce that we have grown the Tulane Radio Network into two flagship stations and have added additional coverage for our fans, with a total of seven stations now carrying football," Tulane Director of Athletics Rick Dickson said. "We are excited to continue our relationship with WMTI FM 106.1 `The Ticket' and happy to be able to re-launch our previous partnership with WRBH FM 88.3. We have made great strides to make sure all our major sports teams have extensive coverage in Louisiana and throughout the Gulf Region."
The Green Wave football team will make its debut on 106.1 "The Ticket" when it opens the 2013 campaign against Jackson State on Thursday, August 29 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome at 7 p.m.
Tulane head football coach Curtis Johnson will make his appearance on 106.1 "The Ticket" when the first radio call-in show airs on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m.
"Cumulus Media owns and operates the Ticket, WMTI FM 106.1 and we are very excited about carrying The Green Wave Football and Men's Basketball games. Dates and the site of the Tulane men's and women's basketball and baseball shows will be announced at a later date.

All 2013 Tulane Football season ticket holders in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome will have priority access to purchase season tickets in Yulman Stadium (those with a history of supporting both the Tulane Athletics Fund and buying season tickets will receive enhanced priority). Season ticket packages start as low as $100 for adults and $70 for youth.
