NEW ORLEANS - Tulane men's basketball coach Ed Conroy added to his 2012-13 roster with the signing of Kajon Mark to a grant-in-aid on Friday afternoon.
Mack is a 6-3 guard from Gardena, Calif., and was the team captain for Junipero Serra High School that claimed the Southern Section Division 4AA championship and lost in the state semifinals to complete a 31-3 season.
"Kajon played in a terrific high school program and has played against high level competition," Conroy said. "He is a winner and competitor and those traits will only help him in his continued development within our program. We are thrilled to add Kajon to the Green Wave family. He is an extremely athletic playmaking guard who compliments our roster and signing class perfectly."
Mack also earned the 2012 CIF Division 4AA Player of the Year, a spot on the Daily Breeze All-area second team, All-CIF second team and All-Del Rey League first team during his senior campaign.
"With the addition of Kajon we feel that we have added the ideal piece to an already outstanding signing class," Conroy added. "Each of the newcomers individually brings unique talents to our roster, while also possessing the versatility to play in our attacking style"
In addition to Mack, Tulane signed 6-3 RaAnthony Sanders from Holt, Ala., 6-3 Louis Dabney from New Orleans, and 6-7 Marc Eddy Norelia from Orlando, Fla., to complete the 2012-13 freshman class.
The four join the Green Wave roster that returns 11 members of the 2011-12 roster, including the Conference USA Freshman of the Year Ricky Tarrant.
