Green Wave Men's Basketball Inks Brown to Letter of Intent

6-foot-8 Forward Earned All-State Honors

April 8, 1999

NEW ORLEANS - Tulane men's basketball coach Perry Clark announced Thursday that Brandon Brown has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to attend the school and play basketball for the Green Wave. Brown will join the team in the fall of 1999.

Brown, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound, forward from Houma, La., averaged 21.4 points and 11.3 rebounds per game for Terrebonne High School. This season, he helped Terrebonne to a 24-10 record under coach David Neal. Brown was a Class 5A second team all-state selection by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association and earned first team all-district and all-region honors.

"Brandon brings a tremendous amount of athleticism to our front line with his ability to score and rebound," said Clark. "He will definitely be an asset to this program."

Brown is the second student-athlete to sign with the Green Wave this season. He joins Trello Galloway, who signed with Tulane in the early signing period last fall.
