NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Shawn Finney Radio Show will continue its successful debut season on Tuesday evening beginning at 7:05 p.m. The show will be broadcast on WSMB (1350 AM). It will again be aired live from Mike Ditka's Restaurant in downtown New Orleans. Drink and food specials are available.

The weekly radio program airs on Tuesday evenings from 7:05 to 8:00 p.m. This week's show will discuss Wednesday's key contest against Conference USA rival Charlotte, as well as the last week, which included a big win over Southern Miss and a loss to Memphis.

Mike Ditka's is located in downtown New Orleans at The Lafayette Hotel at 600 Saint Charles Avenue, near the intersection of St. Charles and Poydras.

"We have had a lot of fans turning out to the show at Ditka's," Finney said. "Hopefully everybody comes out again Tuesday. It is a great place with outstanding food and a good sports atmosphere. I am glad to be a part of it."

Next week's show (Tuesday, Feb. 20) will be the final show to be aired from Ditka's. There will be no show on Feb. 27. The final show of the season will be Tuesday, March 6, and will be broadcast live from Louisville as the Green Wave prepares for the Conference USA tournament.

Finney was hired as the head men's basketball coach at Tulane on July 19 after 15 years as an assistant coach. Most recently, he served as an assistant at the University of Kentucky, helping the Wildcats to the 1998 NCAA National Championship. His teams at Kentucky, Georgia, and Tulsa have qualified for the NCAA Tournament in each of the last seven years.

Tulane hosts Charlotte on Wednesday evening at the New Orleans Arena at 7 p.m. The Wave also hosts DePaul on Saturday at the Arena, followed by the final home game of the season next Wednesday against Houston at Fogelman Arena. Tickets for all Green Wave games are available through Ticketmaster or by calling 504-961-WAVE.
