NEW ORLEANS - A trio of Tulane men's basketball players are sidelined with injuries, it was announced by head coach Dave Dickerson on Monday.

Starting point guard Kevin Sims suffered a non-displaced fracture in his right ulna bone in the first half of Tulane's loss to UAB on Saturday. Sims, who is averaging 12.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game, will have the fracture re-evaluated in two weeks before a return to play date is set.

Aaron Holmes, who started 13 games this season for the Green Wave, suffered a cartilage tear and tendon subluxation in his right wrist during practice on Friday and is currently in a cast. Holmes, who is averaging 7.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, will have the cast removed in one week for re-evaluation.

Jon Andersen, a reserve post player for Tulane, is suffering from a stress reaction in his left ankle and residual pain from surgery performed last March. Andersen is scheduled to be in a boot for four weeks.

Tulane (5-10, 0-2 C-USA) will host Rice on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CST in Fogelman Arena before traveling to Huntington, W.Va., to face Marshall on Saturday at 6 p.m. CST.
