DENTON, Texas - Continuing its Conference USA opening weekend road trip, the Tulane men's basketball team faces North Texas at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday at the Super Pit.

The game will be broadcast live on CSS, and as with every Green Wave basketball game, can be heard live on the Tulane IMG Sports Network (106.1 FM in the New Orleans area) and on Tulane All-Access at www.tulanegreenwave.com/allaccess.

The Green Wave (8-8, 0-1 C-USA) opened league play with a, 97-71, loss at Tulsa on Thursday night. North Texas (9-6, 0-1 C-USA) saw its four-game winning streak snapped on Thursday night with a home loss to Southern Miss in the Mean Green's first-ever Conference USA game.

"We know we have to move on from the Tulsa game and be ready to face the next challenge," Tulane head coach Ed Conroy said. "This is the next phase of the season with conference play and we know that North Texas is another quality opponent. We have the quick turn around on the road and we know that we will have to step up to the challenge."

Four players scored in double figures for Tulane in Thursday's loss led by sophomore Louis Dabney's 17. Dabney is Tulane's top scorer for the season as well, averaging 18.2 per game. He is joined in double figures by freshman Jonathan Stark's 16.6 per game average and junior Jay Hook's 15.0 points per game.

North Texas is led by senior guard Alzee Williams' 13.9 points per game average and junior guard Jordan Williams' 11.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest.

This will be the first meeting between the two schools. North Texas is playing in its first season as a member of Conference USA, while Tulane is in its final season in the league.

The Green Wave will return home next Thursday to host Louisiana Tech at 8 p.m. CT in Devlin Fieldhouse. That game will be broadcast live on Cox Sports Television.

Tickets for the 2013-14 Tulane men's basketball games are available for as low as $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children.
