NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Morris Jordan scored 21 points and had eight rebounds as Tulane defeated Centenary 73-57 Saturday night in New Orleans.
Jordan led a shaky Green Wave attack that made 27 of 65 shots and shot 41 percent from the field. Jordan made nine of 15 but got help from Ledaryl Billingsley, who added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Green Wave.
Tulane led only 33-30 at the half but pulled away with the win in the second half.
Centenary (2-4) shot 52 percent from the field, but were outrebounded 40-28 by Tulane. Tulane (5-1) also capitalized on 10 steals and 22 Centenary turnovers.
Ronnie McCollum led Centenary with 26 points on 5 three-pointers. He was 10
of 20 on the night from the field.
