Led Conference USA freshmen in assists. Started the last 21 games of the season. Over the last 10 regular season games, averaged 7.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists. Tallied 11 points, all in the second half, with five rebounds and four assists in the win over East Carolina (2/25). Scored a career-high 17 points with five rebounds while playing a career-best 38 minutes against UAB (2/15). Matched his career-best with seven assists against both Loyola (2/7) and Marshall (2/4). Paced the Wave with a career-high 14 points, including nine points in the final five minutes, in the win over Rice (1/28). Matched his career-high with seven assists in the ECU win (1/21). Had his first career block while matching his career-high with three steals against UTEP (1/18). Scored 12 points with a career-high six rebounds in 30 minutes against Southern Miss (1/11). Dished out a career-high seven assists with just one turnover in the Savannah State win (1/7). Tallied then-career-bests of 11 points, four assists and three steals in 21 minutes against St. Edward's (12/19). Played 15 minutes against Valpo (12/2), scoring five points (including his first career three-pointer) with two assists. Made his collegiate debut by starting against UNO (11/22). Foul trouble limited him to nine minutes but he scored his first career basket with a first-half reverse layup.
A three-time Class 5A all-state selection who led Jonesboro in scoring in each of his three years. Averaged 17 points and nine rebounds as a sophomore, then led JHS in scoring (23.4), rebounds (7.1), assists (3.3) and steals (3.2) as a junior, leading his team to an 18-9 record. Role changed for his senior year as he moved to point guard, and he led the team with 16.5 points per game and four assists while scoring in double figures in 21 of 22 games played.
