Jeff Strohm begins his second season at Tulane and joined the Green Wave staff with 17 years of collegiate coaching experience, most recently at Western Kentucky University.

At the collegiate level, Strohm has spent time at Northern Illinois, Utah and Marquette in addition to WKU. During his time on the collegiate level he helped coach and mentor six academic All-Americans and four NBA Lottery Picks. He also served as an assistant on two NCAA Final Four teams, going to the 1998 national title game with Utah and in 2003 with Marquette.

During each of his stops, Strohm coached a conference Player of the Year, won a conference championship and reached the NCAA Tournament.

Strohm, who has coached 13 players that have gone on to the NBA, including former National Player of the Year Andrew Bogut of Utah, the No. 1 pick of the 2005 NBA draft by Milwaukee. Strohm also coached Dwyane Wade while at Marquette in 2003 during their Final Four run in New Orleans.

Strohm spent six seasons as an assistant at Northern Illinois from 1991 to 1997 and was primarily responsible for recruiting, scouting and post player development. During his time at NIU, the Huskies claimed the MCC Tournament title in 1996 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. At NIU, Strohm recruited and coached T.J. Lux who finished his career as the school's all time leader in scoring and rebounding.

He then had a five-year stint as a member of the University of Utah's staff. During his tenure at Utah, the program compiled an overall record of 121-39, made four trips to the NCAA Tournament, including a berth in the 1998 national title game, and one appearance in the NIT.

Following his time at Utah, Strohm spent three season on the Marquette staff, including the 2002-03 seaason that saw the Golden Eagles reach the NCAA Final Four with a school record 27-6 record.

The most recent stop at the collegiate ranks came at WKU where Strohm spend the 2005-06 and the 2006-07 seasons as an assistant. The Hilltoppers enjoyed 55 victories during Strohm's two seasons, including the 2006 Sun Belt Conference regular season title and a trip to the NIT.

Strohm also coached in the prep ranks as an assistant at Casey Westfield High School (1987-88) and Sullivan High School (1988-89). He also spent two years at Lake Junior College in Matton, Ill.

A native of Marshall, Ill., Strohm attended Olney Central College for two seasons before finishing his education at Eastern Illinois University where he received a bachelor's degree in education in 1988 and a master's degree in education in 1990.

Strohm is the proud father of three daughters, Sydney, Jordin and Rylee. The family are strong supporters of the National Urea Cycle Disorders Foundation www.nucdf.org.
