As a Sophomore: Tallied six points with two rebounds in 16 minutes against Morris Brown (1/4). Scored five points and matched his career-best with two assists against Georgia Tech (1/2). Scored four points and grabbed a season-best six boards in the Jackson State win (12/23). Matched his season-high with nine points (7-of-8 free throws) and added five rebounds in the Savannah game (12/20). Made his first start of year vs. SEMO (12/1) and tallied nine points and three rebounds in a career-best 28 minutes.
As a Freshman (2001-2002): Missed much of the preseason due to a stress fracture in his foot. Had a five-game stretch to close the regular season when he averaged 16.0 minutes and scored 23 points with 14 rebounds. Made his first career start against UAB (2/16) and scored a career-best 10 points in 21 minutes. Followed that with a career-high 24 minutes, six points and eight rebounds at Houston (2/19). Collected two points and five rebounds in 11 minutes against Lipscomb (12/21). Notched eight points and five rebounds in just nine minutes against Norfolk State (11/24). Connected on a four-point play against Centenary (11/20). Opened his career with four points, five rebounds and two steals against Loyola (11/16).
Prep: Named the South Georgia Player of the Year and all-state by the Atlanta Tip-Off Club as a senior after leading the state with 30 points per game. Also collected 15 rebounds per game as a senior playing for coach Rick Moore. Two-time conference and region Player of the Year. His school?s all-time leading scorer, as well as the top scorer and region and county history. Had best singfle-game totals of 51 and 49 points. Averaged 24.5 points, 10 rebounds and two assists per game as a junior. A two-time all-state selection and a two-time county player of the year. A finalist for Georgia Mr. Basketball honors. Also named to the Atlanta Tip-Off Club Team of the Year as a junior. Was voted Best Rebounder and All-Star Game MVP at the Hamden-Sydney Camp, which also featured seven-footer DeSagana Diop, the No. 8 pick in this year?s NBA Draft. Notched 22 points and 13 rebounds in the Tennessee-Georgia All-Star Game. Played on Nike's USA International Team in Douai, France. Also collected a Gold Medal in the U.S. Youth Games.
