Cliff Barthe

Cliff Barthe enters his second season at Tulane as the director of basketball operations for head coach Ed Conroy.

Barthe, no stranger to New Orleans basketball, comes to Tulane after spending the last 23 years as a coach at St. Augustine High School, including the last six as head coach.

Barthe guided St. Augustine to a 170-50 record during his time, including to the 2011 Louisiana 5A State Championship. He also earned the Metro New Orleans Coach of the Year in 2012. During his career in high school, Barthe coached and developed NBA player Kerry Kittles, along with other major college stars like Oklahoma's Hollis Price and Quannas White, Texas' Javan Felix and Arizona's Eugene Edgerson. He also coached current Tulane football player Sydie London.

A graduate of Xavier University in New Orleans, Barthe also served as the head coach at Dillard University in New Orleans from 2003 to 2005.

Barthe has one daughter, Angele, and a grandson, Justin, Jr.
