A JUNIOR (2011-12): Received a redshirt after playing in nine games with six starts before having a relapse of a right knee injury...Earned a spot on the 2011 Hoops for Hope Classic all-tournament team...Scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds in the victory over New Orleans...Started the next day against San Diego and posted a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds and hit all 10 of his free throws...Logged his first minutes in a Tulane uniform at Navy, played 10 minutes, had two points and three rebounds.
PRIOR TO TULANE: Appeared in 25 games as a freshman at the Univ. of San Francisco with 17 starts and averaged 2.2 points, 1.9 rebounds while playing 12.0 minutes per game. Bruha scored eight points to go along with six rebounds at Pepperdine (1/16/10)...Played last season at Southeastern Community College in Iowa. and averaged 6.5 points and 6.0 rebounds as a starter before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Southeastern finished the year fourth in the country with a 29-9 record.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Canarais Basketball Academy in Spain and played for coach Rob Orellana...Was also a member of the Czech Republic U-20 National Team.
PERSONAL: Born on Dec. 30, 1988...Son of Hana and Jiri Bruha...Has one brother (Jiri, 25)...Majoring in management as the Freeman School of Business.
