As a Senior: A Second Team All-Conference USA honoree. Also named to the All-Louisiana First Team and the NABC District 8 Second Team. Led the league in trips to the free-throw line. Shot 66.9 percent (83-for-124) from the line in the last 18 games, after shooting 48.6 percent in the first 12 outings. Tallied his 12th 20-point game and his 12th double-double of the year with 21 points and 10 rebounds against Saint Louis (2/28). Collected 20 points and nine rebounds against Southern Miss (2/24). Posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds against DePaul (2/17). Recorded one of the biggest games in college basketball this year with a 38-point, 18-rebound performance against Charlotte (2/14). Had four consecutive 20-point game streak end on 2/21, a team best. Team's leading rebounder in 15 of last 16 games. Averaged 12.9 points in league play. Ranked fifth in rebounding and 15th in scoring in league play. Tied for team lead with 15 double-figure scoring games and led team with five double-doubles. Led team with eight boards in C-USA Tournament vs. DePaul. Tallied 14 points and a team-high nine rebounds in 2OT win at South Florida (2/27). As a Freshman (1997-98): Had a solid freshman campaign, making 13 starts in 27 appearances, despite battling injuries during the entire season. Averaged 9.0 points, 6.3 rebounds in the last four games of the regular season. Had nine points (2-2 FG, 5-6 FT) in 13 minutes vs. South Florida. In return home against DePaul, turned in best effort of season with 11 points, 11 rebounds in 20 minutes. Had eight points, five rebounds in consecutive games vs. Memphis, at USM. Scored seven and had five rebounds and a career-best five assists at home vs. USM. Had eight points, seven rebounds at Houston. Made first career start vs. Rhode Island and had six points and a then-career-high eight boards. Had 10 points, four rebounds, two steals in 16 minutes vs. Southeastern Louisiana. Did not practice until mid-November due to a stress fracture in his foot.

Prep: Unanimous choice to Chicago Sun-Times all-area team. Class 2A all-state selection in Illinois. Rated as No. 62 player in nation by Van Coleman's Future Stars. Also a top 100 selection nationally by Bob Gibbons' All Star Sports Report, Clark Francis' Hoop Scoop and Prep Stars Recruiters Handbook. Rated No. 10 quick forward at adidas ABCD camp by Future Stars and No. 14 power forward in nation by Ultimate Hoops. Averaged 23 points and 18 rebounds per game as a senior ... Team finished 20-7 and posted best record in 21 years. Chose Tulane over Marquette and Arizona. Coached by Herb Ray.
