The staff of the Tulane Athletics Media Relations Office stands ready to assist in your coverage of all Green Wave Athletic teams in 2003-2004. For information regarding credentials, Tulane teams and players, arranging interviews, broadcast coverage, obtaining statistics, photos or video highlights, travel plans and press opportunities, please call the Athletics Media Relations Office at (504) 865-5506. The Media Relations offices are located on the third floor of the James W. Wilson Center on Ben Weiner Drive. Metered parking is available in front of the building on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please take a moment to read the media information found here. Interviews with all Tulane coaches, student-athletes and administrators should be arranged through the Media Relations Office as far in advance as possible. In general, practices are open to the local media, however, opportunities to photograph or take video of practice may be limited. Always call John Sudsbury in the Media Relations Office to check on men's basketball practice times and schedules, as they often change on short notice.

Media Opportunities & Services

All interview requests for Coach Finney, any Tulane assistant coaches and players MUST be coordinated through the Media Relations Office.

Players are available for interviews, either in person or on the phone, either before or after practice, depending on their class and meeting schedules. In order to have time to arrange for player interviews, please provide 24 hours notice to the Media Relations Office. Player interviews may be conducted in the atrium of the Wilson Center, at Fogelman Arena or in the Media Relations Office. The Tulane training rooms, locker rooms, weight room and meeting room areas are off-limits to the media. Your cooperation is appreciated.

For telephone interviews, the student-athlete will be provided with the number and will make the call at a mutually-agreed upon time. Phone numbers of student-athletes will NOT be made available to the media.

For interviews with Head Coach Shawn Finney and/or Tulane assistant coaches, please contact John Sudsbury in the Media Relations Office. The best time for Finney to conduct interviews is usually between 10-11 a.m. weekdays.

Practice Coverage
In general, Tulane practices, usually held at Fogelman Arena, are open to the local media. However, practice may be closed or moved without notice. Please contact the Tulane Athletics Media Relations Office if you plan on attending practice so that we may alert the coaching staff and confirm the day's practice schedule.

Still photographs and video may be shot at any time during practice by approved agencies. Media are asked to remain in the stands during practice, and are asked not to speak to players or coaches during the workout.

Updated statistics, game recaps, game notes, player and coaches' bios, newspaper articles, as well as historical, broadcast and ticket information, can be found on the Tulane Official Athletics Website at www.TulaneGreenWave.com. Media are encouraged to check the website regularly for the latest Green Wave athletics news.

Video Services
Requests for video footage of Green Wave basketball should be made to John Sudsbury in the Athletics Media Relations Office. He will work with TU Video Coordinator Will Davis to fill specific requests. Please allow a minimum of three days lead time for video requests. Agencies will be asked to either supply a new Beta tape or to return the highlights to Tulane.
