NEW ORLEANS, La. - Tulane left-handed pitcher Jared Berkowitz was named a second team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association on Friday.
Berkowitz, the winningest pitcher in school history, recorded a team best 3.77 ERA with 99 strikeouts this past season. Through 114 2/3 innings of work Berkowitz compiled a 12-4 record, 12th best in the nation, and pitched four complete games, including two shutouts.
Through his four-year career at Tulane, he set school records in wins (38), innings pitched (415 2/3) and games started (59).
