Tulane Ticket Procedures in Place for NCAA Postseason Baseball

May 23, 2006

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions regarding Postseason Baseball Tickets

NEW ORLEANS - With 2006 NCAA Baseball Regional host sites set to be announced on Sunday, May 28 and the Green Wave baseball team once again ranked among the nation's best, the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office has set its ticket prices and procedures for ordering NCAA Regional and Super Regional tickets if Tulane is selected to host either event at Zephyr Field.

The 2006 NCAA Regionals will be played June 2-5, 2006, while the eight Super Regionals are scheduled for either June 9-11 or June 10-12.

Ticket prices for a potential New Orleans Regional are $65 per book, good for all sessions of the regional, while Super Regional ticket books will be priced at $50 each. There will be NO ticket purchase limit for either the Regional or the Super Regional, although Tulane baseball season ticket holders and Tulane Athletics Fund donors at the $250 level or higher will receive priority.

If Tulane is named as a Regional host on May 28, Tulane baseball season ticket holders and TAF donors at the $250 level and higher can order tickets on Monday, May 29 and Tuesday, May 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Orders will be taken in-person at the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office in the James W. Wilson Center or on the phone by calling 504-861-WAVE.

Tulane baseball season ticket holders will be seated in their regular season seats. Any additional tickets ordered by Tulane baseball season ticket holders above their number of season tickets will be placed in the best available seats nearest their season ticket location, unless a request is made to forfeit seating priority in order to seat all the tickets in the regional order together.

On Wednesday, May 31 at 10 a.m., all remaining tickets for the Regional will go on sale to the general public at all Ticketmaster outlets, by calling Ticketmaster at 504-522-5555 or at www.Ticketmaster.com.

Ticket books will be available for pick-up at the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office in the James W. Wilson Center beginning Thursday, June 1 at 10 a.m. Tickets will also be available for pick-up at the Zephyr Field Will Call windows prior to the first game of the Regional, but early pick-up is encouraged.

The same procedure will be followed for Super Regional tickets. Super Regional sites will be officially announced Tuesday, June 6 and Tulane baseball season ticket holders and TAF donors ($250 level and higher) will be able to order tickets that day and on Wednesday, June 7 by contacting the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office in person or by calling 504-861-WAVE. Tickets for a New Orleans Super Regional will also go on sale to the general public June 7 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

Tulane also will have several suites and party areas inside Zephyr Field available for rent during any NCAA Regional or Super Regional games. To inquire about party areas inside Zephyr Field, please contact Sherry Schonekas at 504-865-5359.

The Regional sites for the 2006 NCAA Baseball Championship will be announced Sunday, May 28 at approximately 2:30 p.m. (Central) on ESPN News, while Super Regional sites are scheduled to be announced Tuesday, June 6 at 1 p.m. (Central).

The Tulane baseball team opens play in the Conference USA Tournament at Rice's Reckling Park in Houston at 9 a.m. Wednesday when they face East Carolina. The game will be heard on WRBH-FM 88.3 in New Orleans and can be viewed on-line for free by following the link at www.TulaneGreenWave.com.
