Tulane's Michael Aubrey Named Conference USA Hitter of the Week

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Tulane freshman Michael was named the Conference USA Hitter of the Week for his strong offensive performance against No. 2 LSU and Siena College, the league office announced Monday.

Aubrey hit .500 on the week with two home runs and 11 RBI. He posted a 1.125 slugging percentage and had a .619 on base percentage. Aubrey was 8-for-16 through four games, including two doubles, a triple and a pair of home runs.

Against LSU, Aubrey hit for the cycle and sent in a career high five runs. He was 4-for-6 with two runs scored. In Sunday's game against Siena, Aubrey was 3-for-5 with four RBI and a home run.

In the polls, the Green Wave (17-3) gained ground as they moved from 24th to 22nd in the Collegiate Baseball rankings. Despite going 4-0 last week and defeating No. 2 LSU, Tulane remained at No. 16 Baseball America Top-25 Poll.

The Green Wave hosts Nicholls State on Wednesday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m. Tulane opens C-USA play this weekend as they host South Florida in a three-game series beginning on Friday, March 16 at 6:30 p.m.
