Tulane (9-3) won its sixth straight game with a 16-4 victory over Southeastern Louisiana (8-8) on Tuesday evening. Freshman 2B James Jurries hit his fourth home run of the season in the fifth inning.
The Green Wave scored in every inning and totaled season-highs in hits (22) and runs (16).
Leading Tulane was Jurries going 3-for-4 with three RBI, three hits, three runs scored and a home run. For the season, Jurries is batting a .429 and has a total of 17 RBI. Junior 1B Mickey McKee also went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Chad Sutter, Jake Gautreau and Jurries recorded a game-high three RBI each. Both Sutter and Gautreau went 3-for-6 with one run scored. RHP Henry Bonilla (3-0) pitched seven innings for the Wave and picked up his third win of the year. Bonilla struck out seven batters and gave up four runs, three of which were earned. His ERA to date is a 4.67 through 27 innings.
Southeastern Louisiana dropped to 8-8 and RHP Josh Langlois (0-2) picked up his second loss.
Tulane returns to action Wednesday evening when they take-on Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette at 7:00 p.m.
