NEW ORLEANS - Tulane pitcher Brandon Belanger was named the Conference USA Pitcher of the Week the league office announced Monday.

For the week of February 14, Belanger made three appearances, went 4 1/3 innings, gave up two hits, no runs, and struck out five. Belanger became Tulane's career saves leader in Saturday's game against Alabama as he recorded the 21st of his career and third of the week.

On the season, Belanger (0-1) has struck out seven and walked one through 7 1/3 innings of work. Opponents are hitting .241 against Belanger.

Tulane travels to Thibodaux, La., on Tuesday, Feb. 22 to take on the Colonels of Nicholls State at 6:30 p.m.
