NEW ORLEANS - Beginning Monday, Feb. 24, Tulane baseball head coach Rick Jones will host his weekly coach's show at noon at Desi Vega's Steakhouse, located at 628 St. Charles Avenue.
The show will be held at noon on every Monday through May 19 except Monday, March 3, due to the Mardi Gras holidays. Fans can tune in to the home for the 2014 Tulane baseball season, 88.3 FM WRBH, if they are not able to make it out to Desi Vega's Steakhouse.
"I'm always excited to do the radio show, but even more so this year for three reasons," stated Jones, who will be entering his 21st season at the helm of the Green Wave baseball program. "The first is that we are back at Desi Vega's Steakhouse. It is a tremendous venue to have our show. They have a great lunch menu. I'm also excited because we are moving the show back to noon, which makes our show a great option for lunch for the CBD crowd and all of our other fans. Lastly, it just feels at home for me to be back on 88.3 FM. They have one of the greatest signals in the metropolitan area, and it was home to Tulane baseball for so many years. I can't tell you how excited I am to be back on that channel, and our coach's show will benefit from that."
Desi Vega's Steakhouse celebrated it's opening last year, and is considered one of the premier dining establishments in the Central Business District. It is owned and operated by New Orleans restaurateur and former Tulane Green Wave baseball player Desi Vega, who is also the managing partner of Mr. John's Steakhouse.
The show will be hosted by The Voice of the Green Wave, Todd Graffagnini. Fans will be able to call in and ask questions to Graffagnini and Coach Jones.
In addition to being broadcast on 88.3 FM, the show can also be found on the Tulane All-Access Channel at TulaneGreenWave.com.
