NEW ORLEANS, La. - A RBI single by senior Chad Sutter in the third inning gave Tulane (22-7, 5-2 C-USA) the momentum for a 6-2 victory over UAB (14-8,4-3 C-USA) Friday night at Turchin Stadium.

The Green Wave trailed 2-1 until the bottom of the third inning when Sutter singled in to left field allowing James Jurries to score, tying the game at 2-2. Sutter added an insurance run in the fifth with a solo homer to left center and drove Jurries home in the seventh to give Tulane a 5-2 lead.
