Green Wave records its first win at Zephyr Field this season.

METAIRIE, La. - The Tulane (16-5) baseball team picked up their first win at Zephyr Field this season with a 14-4 victory over New Orleans (8-11) Tuesday night. Jared Berkowitz, LHP, got the win for the Wave and Jason Sparks hit his third home run of the season.
Tulane came out swinging, scoring nine runs in the first three innings, including a five run third inning. Sparks (RF) led the Green Wave going 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three runs scored, three stolen bases and a game-high four RBI. Brandon Belanger (CF) went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI. Belanger was the closing pitcher for the Wave giving up two hits and striking out one.
Berkowitz pitched six innings for Tulane, giving up seven hits four runs and striking out one. Dan OGara relieved Berkowitz and struck out a season-high three batters in one inning.
Tulane returns to action this weekend against UNC Charlotte in Charlotte, NC. This is the first Conference USA series for the Wave which begins on Friday, March 19th at 5:00 p.m. All of the games this weekend are broadcast on 88.3 WRBH.
