Opening Statement
"Today was a tough day to hit for both teams. Obviously, the ball was not carrying and I thought we put a lot of good swings on (some pitches), but there (starting pitcher) was very good at managing the strike zone and took advantage of (the strike zone). I thought David (Napoli) did the exact same thing, but we had the two errors in the third inning that allowed them to score another run. Other than that, we took care of the ball pretty well. (David) pitched really well for us. The bottom line was that we were down so early and that takes away all of your action (on the base paths) and you can't be as aggressive as you want to be. (The elements) made it a tough day to get down so much, because we knew their guys was going to be a strike thrower. I wasn't disappointed with our approach at the plate, even in the ninth inning we hit three balls hard for outs. It was just a tough day and, when you get down early on a day like today, that doesn't help. It was a disappointing loss, but I credit Alabama."

On the starting pitching
"It was disappointing and we are going to have to make a change there. The last two days our starting pitching has been sub-par. David (Napoli) came in and gave us a great effort, but we are going to make a change there. I want to get through Tuesday before I make any decisions, but we are going to make a change there."

On the aggressiveness at the plate
"We want to be aggressive early in the count if we get a ball to hit. I though we chased a ball when we hit into the double play (in the fourth inning). I think we were good at being patient and aggressive at the plate today. I felt good about that. I didn't feel uncomfortable about our approach at the plate."

On tomorrow's game with Alabama
"We want to win the series, so we have to come out tomorrow and see how it goes."
