2015 (Junior): Appeared in seven games, all in relief…went 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 8.1 innings…allowed five hits, one run and no earned runs while striking out six and walking three…held opponents to a .185 batting average…fanned three in 3.0 innings of work against Creighton (2/28)…pitched 1.1 innings against Southeastern Louisiana (3/17)…struck out one against UConn (3/27)…picked up a strikeout in 1.0 inning of work against Southern Miss (5/12)…tossed 1.0 inning against UNC Wilmington (5/29) during the NCAA Baton Rouge Regionals.

2014 (Sophomore): Appeared in one game in a relief role...pitched 1.0 inning on opening day against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2/14), allowing no hits in a combined shutout. Earned Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll honors.

Prior to Tulane

Trinity University (2013): Played an integral part in the back end of the bullpen for a Trinity squad that finished 40-9 during his freshman year...placed second on the team with three saves...notched a 1-1 record with a 3.09 ERA...fanned 12 batters while walking none, one of only two Trinity Tigers to walk no batters on the season...held hitters to a .231 batting average...was part of a combined shutout against Austin College on April 7...notched his lone victory on the season in 2.0 innings of relief against Linfield on May 18 during the NCAA Division III West Regional to force a third game of the series.

Prep: Lettered three years at Richland High School in North Richland Hills, Texas...pitched for the Rebels...tallied a 4-4 record in 59.2 innings of action with 62 strikeouts and a 2.82 ERA during his senior year...helped lead his team to the state playoffs during his senior campaign...also lettered in basketball and wide receiver at Richland High School...earned All-District 6-5A Honorable Mention honors as a wide receiver during his junior year.

Personal: Born Troy Thomas Ward on August 30, 1993...son of Ginger and Bob Ward...has one younger brother, Ryan...plans to study chemical
engineering or environmental studies at Tulane.
