2006: Played in 30 games as a true freshman, including eight starts as the designated hitter, two in left field and one in right...hit .283 (15-for-53) with a double, six RBI and a stolen base...had three multiple-hit games, including a three-hit day against Texas Tech (2/11) in game two of the Houston College Classic...also had two-RBI contests against Texas (2/12) in the final day of the HCC...earned Houston College Classic All-Tournament honors after hitting .308 (4-for-13) with a pair of RBI...had three two-game hitting streaks, the last coming on April 4-7 when he hit .500 with three runs scored.
Summer Ball: Played for the Vienna Senators of the Clark Griffith Baseball League in 2006...helped the Senators go 38-14, win the CGBL title, advance to the NBC World Series and finish 10th nationally among summer league teams...hit .271 (16-for-59) with two doubles, two home runs, nine RBI and three stolen bases.
