Prior to Tulane: Played two years at Navarro College for coaches Skip Johnson and Whoa Dill, sandwiching an injury-plagued 2006 season at Alabama for coach Jim Wells in between...at the junior college level, hit .370 (136-for-368) with 101 RBI and a .582 slugging percentage on the strength of 38 doubles, four triples and 11 home runs...as a freshman in 2005, earned second-team All-Texas Eastern Athletic Conference honors after hitting .410 with 21 doubles, five home runs and 44 RBI...during his lone season at Alabama, started five of the eight games he played in before suffering a foot injury...prior to receiving a medical redshirt, tallied three hits and six putouts for the Crimson Tide...in his return to Navarro, hit .318 (61-for-192) with 15 doubles, two triples, six home runs and 46 RBI.
