2008: Played in 54 games as a junior, including 51 starts as the designated hitter...ranks second on the team in home runs (10), and fifth in runs scored (36), slugging percentage (.460) and RBI (38)...recorded a career-high five RBI against Northwestern State (March 12) when he went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs...also has 10 multiple-hit games, including five three-hit affairs...had a seven-game hitting streak from May 2-10 when he hit .333 (8-for-24) with a home run and six RBI...scored the go-ahead run on four occasions.

Prior to Tulane: Played two years at Navarro College for coaches Skip Johnson and Whoa Dill, sandwiching an injury-plagued 2006 season at Alabama for coach Jim Wells in between...at the junior college level, hit .370 (136-for-368) with 101 RBI and a .582 slugging percentage on the strength of 38 doubles, four triples and 11 home runs...as a freshman in 2005, earned second-team All-Texas Eastern Athletic Conference honors after hitting .410 with 21 doubles, five home runs and 44 RBI...during his lone season at Alabama, started five of the eight games he played in before suffering a foot injury...prior to receiving a medical redshirt, tallied three hits and six putouts for the Crimson Tide...in his return to Navarro, hit .318 (61-for-192) with 15 doubles, two triples, six home runs and 46 RBI.

Summer Ball: Played for the Maryland Orioles of the Cal Ripken Summer Collegiate League in 2005...started 36 games, hitting .289 (35-for-21) with one home run and 26 RBI...selected to play in CRSCL All-Star Game after leading the team in doubles (eight) and triples (two).

High School: Three-year letterman at Grapevine High for coach Tim McCune where he saw time at first base and in the outfield...earned all-district honors all three seasons as a prepster...claimed All-Tarrant County honors as an outfielder and a pitcher and was named all-area as an outfielder as a senior...also earned three letters in football where he claimed all-district recognition as a senior.

Personal: Born Andrew Thomas Rodgers on Jan. 14, 1986 in Irving, Texas...son of Mark and Stacey Rodgers...has two brothers: Adam and Alex...brother, Adam, played baseball at Rice and in the St. Louis Cardinals organization...majoring in business.
