2005: Played in 26 games as a redshirt-freshman, including five starts in left field...hit .257 for the season, with a .400 clip (4-for-10) as a pinch hitter...best day came vs. Marist (3/5) when he went 2-for-3 with an RBI...had a pinch-hit RBI single at LSU (3/8) to help spark a 6-2 win...tallied three putouts in the outfield...off the diamond, was a member of Tulane's 3.0 Club.
2004: Redshirted his first year with the Green Wave program.
High School: Two-year letterwinner at Lamar High for coach Jorge Garza...earned first-team All-District 17-5A honors both prep seasons, and helped lead the Redskins to a pair of district titles and advance to the state playoffs...as a senior, voted team captain, earned second-team All-Greater Houston honors and was selected to participate in the Texas 5A All-Star Game after hitting .340 and stealing 21 of 22 bases...earned a spot on the TeamOneBaseball.com National Team as a junior and was named the No. 8 prospect in the Central Region...off the diamond, was Student Council communications chairman and a Texas Scholar.
Summer Ball: Played for the Granbury Generals of the Texas Collegiate League and Manchester Silk Worms of the New England Collegiate Baseball League in 2004, and again for the Silk Worms in 2005...started eight of 10 games with the Generals, where he posted a pair of hits, including a triple, and two RBI, before joining Manchester, where he had seven knocks with a double and four RBI in 19 games...in 2005, hit .272 (22-for-81) with three doubles, eight RBI and two stolen bases.
