Prior To Tulane: Played one season at the University of Arkansas for coach Dave Vanhorn...played in 27 games as a true freshman, including 17 starts as the designated hitter...hit .328 with six doubles and a triple for the season, including three two-hit performances and a pair of two-RBI outings...posted first-career hit in his first collegiate game, a two-RBI single vs. Creighton (2/11), and tallied a pair of doubles for two RBI at Kansas State (3/7)...also posted two-hit outings at Kansas State (3/10) and vs. LSU (5/22) in the SEC Tournament.

High School: Three-year letterman at Stephen F. Austin High for coach Glenn Bacak...earned first-team All-District 25-5A honors all three seasons, and was named team Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore...for his career, hit .478 with 15 home runs...tallied a .455 batting average as a senior, and twice hit for the cylce...teamed with current Tulane teammate Matt Goebel to help lead the Maroons to the state finals as a junior, hitting a grand slam in the regional finals and a home run in the state championship game...off the diamond, was named Homecoming King as a senior.
