2010 (Freshman): Appeared in nine games with three starts...two of his nine appearances were scoreless...struck out a batter in six outings...owned a 2-1 record in 17 innings of work with a 8.47 ERA...struck out 15 batters to 13 walks...won his first career start over New Orleans (2/24)...made his collegiate debut against Boston College (2/20) with one inning of relief...allowed one run on two hits with six strikeouts in six innings of work against New Orleans (2/24)..surrendered four runs on eight hits in his second start at South Alabama (3/3)...fanned one in a scoreless inning in the first game of a double-header at East Carolina (4/3)...threw four perfect innings in a start versus LSU (5/18)...picked up the win with a scoreless 5.1 innings of work against LSU (5/18) as he allowed two hits and struck out five.

Prep: The Gatorade State Player of the Year in 2009, McKenzie is the only pitcher in the history of Thayer Academy (Braintree, Mass.) to throw a perfect game as he retired all 21 Roxbury Latin batters on May 14, 2008 for striking out 14...named conference MVP as a senior and a Louisville Slugger All-American...helped coach Matt McGurk's Thayer Academy to a pair of Independent School League championships, in 2008 and 2009...finished the 2008 season with a 6-1 record (1.10 ERA), recorded one save and struck out 100 batters in 46 innings...selected to the 2007 and 2008 All-League All Star teams...ranked the number one prospect in Massachusetts in 2008 and 37th best prospect at the 2008 Team USA Tournament of Stars by Baseball America...also participated in the Area Code games.
