2005: Played in 44 games as a junior, all coming off the bench...had just five at-bats, but made the most of his time at the plate with a double at Charlotte (4/18) and a key RBI single in game two of the NCAA New Orleans Super Regional vs. Rice (6/12) to break open a 6-0 win...drew walks vs. UAB (4/13) and at Southern Miss (4/23) and tallied a .571 on-base percentage...used as a defensive replacement in the outfield, and had 14 putouts in left.

Prior To Tulane: Two-year letterwinner at Pearl River Community College for coach Jay Artigues...helped lead the Wildcats to a combined 80-23 record during JUCO career, including a MAJC and state title in 2004...earned all-state honors both years at PRCC...claimed All-Region XXII honors and was named Region XXII Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore after ranking second on the team in batting average (.376), hits (62) and doubles (15), and third in runs scored (56), on-base percentage (.475) and walks (24)...had 17 multiple-hit games, including a career-best four knock showing vs. Southwest Mississippi (4/9/04), and six multiple-RBI contests, including four three-RBI outings...as a freshman, led team in runs (53), doubles (tied with 15) and walks (22), while ranking second in hits (58), batting average (.347) and on-base percentage (.442), and fifth in RBI (24)...posted 12 multiple-hit games, including three-hit outings in both halves of a doubleheader vs. Mississippi Delta CC (4/10/03), and five multiple-RBI contests, including a season-best three driven in vs. Mississippi Delta (4/10/03) and Jones County (4/18/03)...off the diamond, was a member of Phi Theta Kappa fraternity.

Summer Ball: Played for the North Adams Steeplecats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League in 2004...helped the Steeplecats go 24-18 and advance to the quarterfinals of the NECBL playoffs...started 29 of 34 games and ranked fourth in doubles (tied with 7) and stolen bases (5) while finishing fifth in batting average (.260) and seventh in RBI (10).

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Picayune Memorial High for coach Kent Kirkland...named all-state as a senior, claimed All-Gulf Coast honors as a junior and senior, and earned all-district and all-area honors his final three prep seasons...helped lead the Maroon Tide to the playoffs all four years, including a pair of district titles and a state championship in 2002 when PMHS finished the year ranked fourth in the nation by USA Today...as a senior, hit .415 with three home runs and 30 RBI and was named MVP of the Coast All-Star Game...hit .352 with three homers and 45 RBI as a junior after connecting at a .401 clip with three bombs and 29 RBI as a sophomore...also lettered three times in football as a wide receiver and defensive back, earning all-district honors as a senior, and all-area recognition his final two prep seasons...off the diamond, was a member of the National Honor Society, Honor Roll and Mu Alpha Theta.
