2003: Played in six games as a junior, including three starts behind the dish...went 2-for-3 in his first start of the year against St. Joseph's (2/8) and had a pinch-hit base knock at Charlotte (4/6)...had a pair of sacrifice bunts, was hit by a pitch and drew a base on balls...slowed during the year with a recurring injury in his throwing shoulder, but is expected to made a full prior to the 2004 season...away from the field, earned Tulane Scholar-Athlete recognition.
2002: Played in 13 games, including four starts, at catcher before reinjuring his right shoulder which kept him sidelined the rest of the season...tallied two hits in 12 at-bats, including a double and a season-high two RBI at Pepperdine (2/9)...started contests against George Washington (2/23), UCLA (3/3), Charlotte (5/16) and UL-Lafayette (3/27).
2001: Saw action in 53 games as a true freshman, including 35 starts behind the plate...hit .250 with seven RBI and 15 runs scored for the year, but proved to be more important defensively where he threw out a team-best 10 potential base-stealers...strung together a four-game hitting streak from April 4-8 when he hit .416 (5-for-12)...posted two-hit outings at Charlotte (4/7) and at Southern Miss (4/22)...had a career-best two RBI vs. UNO (4/25) and again vs. Memphis (5/4)...proved to have a good eye at the plate, drawing two walks vs. Cincinnati (3/25), at UNO (4/17) and at Southern Miss (4/21).
Summer Ball: Played in nine games for the Mankato Mashers of the Northwoods League in 2001 where he helped the team go 36-28 and finish second in the league.
High School: Four-year letterman at Newman High for coach Billy Fitzgerald...earned All-District 9-2A honors as a sophomore, junior and senior...as a senior, helped the Greenies win the state championship and was voted 2A State Tournament MVP...also earned all-metro and All-Orleans recognition during his final prep season...also lettered four times in basketball where he helped Newman advance to the playoffs all four years...off the diamond, was a member of the Homecoming Court, a lower school tutor, junior class usher and freshman class vice president...awarded the Eric Batiza Award, Daniel Frederick Anepohl Award and Anvilla Prescott Schultz Citizenship Key.
