Todd Lorentson is in his fourth year as an assistant athletic trainer at Tulane, and his fifth season with the Green Wave baseball team.
A native of Fernandina Beach, Fla., Lorentson is responsible for the daily care, as well as the prevention and rehabilitation of student-athletes' injuries, specifically working with the baseball program.
Lorentson is in his second stint with the Green Wave after working as a graduate assistant trainer with the baseball squad for the 2000 and 2001 seasons. During the 2001-02 season, he worked with Tulane's nationally-prominent women's basketball team.
Away from Tulane, Lorentson has experience with the Tallahassee Tiger Sharks of the East Coast Hockey league where he served as an intern in 1999, and as the head trainer at Tallahassee Community College, were he worked during the summer of 2002.
A 1999 cum laude graduate of Valdosta State with a bachelor of science in sports medicine, Lorentson is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Southeastern Athletic Trainers Association.
