2001: Saw action in 68 games as a sophomore, including 58 starts in center field...earned the starting spot in mid-March and got the nod in the final 52 contests of the year...earned second-team All-Conference USA and All-Louisiana honors and was named All-American by The Jewish Sports Review...posted a C-USA leading 11 outfield assists and led the team in walks (42) and sacrifice bunts (10), while finishing second in stolen bases (21), third in putouts (194), fourth in total bases (124) and sacrifice flies (6), and fifth in slugging percentage (.477)...ranked second in C-USA in sacrifice bunts, tied for fourth in walks and tied for fifth in stolen bases and sacrifice flies...had 33 multiple-hit games and 14 multiple-RBI contests...as a starter, hit safely in 45 of 58 games, including an eight-game hitting streak when he hit .406 (13-for-32) from April 14-27...earned All-New Orleans Regional and Baseball America All-Regional honors after hitting .462 (6-for-13) in the three-game sweep...collected seven RBI, five runs scored and three walks in the Regional win...hit .428 (6-for-14) in the College World Series, including three doubles and four RBI to go with flawless defense in 14 chances...had three or more hits on nine occasions, including a career-high four hits at Saint Louis (March 31) and in the C-USA Championship game against South Florida (May 20)...had three or more RBI on six occasions, including four-RBI outings vs. Siena (March 11) and against Oklahoma State in the New Orleans Regional (May 26).

1999: Redshirted his first season with the Green Wave program.

Summer Ball: Played with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod League in 2001, where he earned postseason All-Star honors...led the team in home runs (3) and stolen bases (11), tied for the team lead in runs scored (21), ranked third in batting average (.280) and hits (40), and finished fifth in RBI (14).

High School: Two-year starting centerfielder at Parkway Central High for coach Mike Sigler...earned first-team St. Louis All-Metro honors as a junior and senior, leading the Colts to a combined 38-9 record...as a senior, named Suburban West Conference Player of the Year after hitting .441 with a .790 slugging percentage and a league-leading 23 stolen bases...hit three game-winning home runs in the final inning as a senior...against Marquette High in 1998, made a diving catch, threw the runner out at the plate and smacked a grand slam...as a junior, hit .393 with a conference-best 22 stolen bases...also earned four letters in ice hockey and two in football...on the gridiron, led the state in return yardage in 1997 and led Parkway Central to the 5A State Championship Game as a senior where he caught an 80-yard touchdown pass and threw a 55-yard scoring strike...off the diamond, was a ceramic (art) scholarship nominee.
