2001: Appeared in 15 games as a junior, including nine starts...tied for fourth on the team with eight wins and one save...earned the win in four consecutive appearances from March 18 through May 5 when he tallied a 1.78 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 30.1 innings of work...tallied four or more strikeouts four times, including a career-high eight in 4.2 innings against Georgia State (March 4)...longest outing of the year came in a start against Cincinnati (March 24) when he gave up two earned runs and struck out three in 8.0 innings in a 9-6 win...got the victory in relief vs. Charlotte in the C-USA Tournament (May 18), and recorded his first career save the next night vs. Memphis with three strikeouts and just one hit in 3.0 scoreless innings.
