2001: Appeared in 15 games as a junior, including nine starts...tied for fourth on the team with eight wins and one save...earned the win in four consecutive appearances from March 18 through May 5 when he tallied a 1.78 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 30.1 innings of work...tallied four or more strikeouts four times, including a career-high eight in 4.2 innings against Georgia State (March 4)...longest outing of the year came in a start against Cincinnati (March 24) when he gave up two earned runs and struck out three in 8.0 innings in a 9-6 the victory in relief vs. Charlotte in the C-USA Tournament (May 18), and recorded his first career save the next night vs. Memphis with three strikeouts and just one hit in 3.0 scoreless innings.

Prior to Tulane: Two-year starter at Moorpark College for coach Ken Wagner, seeing time at first base and on the mound...selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 36th round of the 1999 draft...selected to play in the California Junior College All-Star Game as a sophomore.

Summer Ball: Played with the Anchorage Glacier Pilots of the Alaska Summer League in 2000...appeared in four games and helped Anchorage win 23 games.

High School: Four-year letterman at St. Bonaventure High for coach Dennis Johnson...earned first-team All-Tri-Valley League honors as a senior...also lettered twice in football.

Personal: Full name is Andrew Todd Corona...born Sept. 27, 1979 in Fontana, Calif...son of Anthony and Rosaura Corona...father, Anthony, played minor league baseball in the Milwaukee Brewers organization...majoring in biology.
