2002: Appeared in 21 games as a redshirt-freshman, including starts vs. Saint Louis (March 31) and in the Conference USA Tournament against Southern Miss (May 21)...his ERA (4.19) and opponent batting average (.267) was second among Tulane relief pitchers...posted nearly a two-to-one ratio of strikeouts (37) to walks (19)...tallied three or more strikeouts on five occasions, including a four-fan showing vs. Southeastern Louisiana and a career-high seven punchouts at UL-Lafayette (March 26)...earned first career victory vs. nationally-ranked Rutgers when he threw a career-best 6.0 scoreless relief innings while giving up just two hits and one walk while striking out a pair.

2001: Redshirted in his first season with the Green Wave program.

Summer Ball: Played with Team LeBreton of the NORD All-American League in 2002, earning Pitcher of the Year honors after going 9-1 with a 1.20 ERA...helped the squad win the league title and advance to the AAABA World Series where they finished runner-up.

High School: Four-year letterman at Jesuit High for coach David Moreau, seeing time at first base and on the mound...earned All-District 10-5A and All-Orleans honors as a junior and senior...went 14-5 during his final two prep seasons, tallying a 2.15 ERA as a junior and a 1.89 ERA as a senior...helped the Blue Jays win the district championship as a sophomore and finish as the state runners-up as a freshman...earned All-American Legion 1st District honors from 1998-2000, and helped his Legion squad win four district 2000, earned Rusty Staub Award, Legion Player of the Year and Ben Bagert Legion Pitcher of the Year honors...graduated with honors and earned the District 10-5A Academic Award as a senior.
