2002: Played in 57 games as a redshirt-freshman, including 53 starts in right field and one start as the designated hitter...earned honorable-mention Freshman All-America honors and Conference USA All-Freshman recognition after finishing second on the team in home runs (11), slugging percentage (.526), walks (42) and on-base percentage (.526)...ranked fifth in C-USA in walks and 12th in on-base percentage...had 13 multiple-hit games, including a career-best four-hit showing vs. Southeastern Louisiana (April 30), and tallied 11 multiple-RBI contests, including a career-high four RBI at UAB (April 12) when he posted his first two-home run outing...had a five-game hitting streak from April 7-14 when he hit .400 (8-for-20) with two doubles, two homers and seven RBI, and again from April 30-May 10 when he hit .632 (12-for-19) with two doubles, two home runs and nine RBI...went 3-for-3 at Pepperdine (Feb. 9) in his first career start, including a home run in his first collegiate at-bat...best weekend of the year came against Charlotte when he blasted a home run in all three games and tallied six RBI...off the diamond, earned C-USA Academic Medal and Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll recognition.
