Sophomore (2008): Appeared in 20 games out of the bullpen as a sophomore...slowed early in the year after undergoing successful elbow surgery in the fall, and bounced back to post a pair of wins and three saves in 39.0 innings of work...ranks third on the team in saves with 3 and is tied for third in appearances (20)...among bullpen arms, ranks third inning innings pitched...did not allow a hit in four of his relief appearances and held opponents without an earned run on 11 occasions...posted eight multiple-strikeout performances, including a season-best five in 4.0 innings to earn the save against Sacred Heart (March 21)...tied season-long with 4.0 innings pitched in a 10-8 Tulane victory at East Carolina (May 10) when he picked up the win.

Freshman (2007): Appeared in 28 games out of the bullpen and played in three games as a position player as a true freshman...earned Conference USA All-Freshman Team honors after leading Tulane relievers in ERA (2.36), innings pitched (45.2) and strikeouts (45) and opponent batting average (.270)...ranked second on the club in appearances...had an 8.87 strikeout-per-nine-inning average and a 3.46 strikeout-to-walk ratio...did not allow an earned run in 19 of his appearances and held teams without a hit on four occasions...longest outing of the year came vs. McNeese State (3/6) when he fanned three in 4.0 innings of work...posted 12 multiple-strikeout performances, including a career-best five at Southern Cal (2/24) and vs. Memphis (4/7)...at the plate, went 1-for-3 with his hit coming against North Florida (2/17).

Blair...earned first-team All-District 8-5A honors his final three prep seasons and was drafted in the 23rd round by the Pittsburgh Pirates...as a senior, hit .306 with four home runs and 31 RBI while going 10-3 with a 2.41 ERA and 111 strikeouts in 92.1 innings...named to Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State team, Dallas Morning News first-team all-area and District MVP as a junior when he hit .430 with six home runs and 25 RBI while posting a 9-1 record, 0.80 ERA, 103 strikeouts and 15 walks in 72.1 innings of work...claimed District Sophomore of the Year honors in 2004 and was named No. 35 prospect among 2006 seniors by Baseball America...played for the Rangers in the 2005 Area Code Games.
