Joe Brockhoff was inducted into the 1999 Tulane Hall OF Fame. Joe Brockhoff began coaching at Fisher Junior High School and then moved over to Metairie Junior High School where he coached for three years. He spent one year at John Quincy Adams Junior High School. He joined the East Jefferson athletic staff in August, 1968 as head baseball and assistant basketball and football coach and in his six years at the Warriors helm has compiled a record of (76) victories and only 16 defeats in leading East Jefferson to two Class AAAA state baseball championships (1971 and 1972). Brockhoff is a member of the Louisiana Teachers Association and has lectured at several clinics, such as the Louisiana High School Coaches Association even held annually in August in Baton Rouge, and the Baton Rouge Kids Baseball Clinic, held annually in February, also in Baton Rouge.
